After our meetings, we had a little time to see some sights. We went to Kyoto Gosho, the Imperial Palace at Kyoto. This is where the emperor stayed when he was in Kyoto (which I think was once the capitol of Japan?) We had to take off our shoes when walking inside the palace. A neat security feature of the palace is that the floors were intentionally squeaky in detect intruders!
