Web Technology Evangelist at Immersion Corporation. Immersion creates and licenses technology which brings the sense of touch into the computing experience. My position is a hybrid between marketing and engineering.

If you could hold any political office, what would it be and why?
Mayor of a small town. I like both problem solving and bringin about positive change. Small towns generally have stronger, tight-knit communities -- I would have more impact there.


What is the accomplishment you are most proud of?
Winning the Souther CA Water Polo Championships. For 4 years, my teammates and I devoted our time and spirit towards this endeavor, and we cheived it.

Vegetarian (lacto/ovo), but would eat a koala to survive.

What is your favorite music to listen to?
Quite a variety. Recently, I have been infatuated with Alanis Morissette. Also like electronic music (Especially ambient techno), blues, and Indian Classical.


Describe your perfect day:
I wake up and the sun is shining. I am healthy and my family and friends are healthy. I work a little (I like my job), I excercise a little, and I spend time with my family, and then I go out with my frineds. At the end, I fall asleep with someone I love.

Water Polo Scoreboard. Yoga ournal. Wired. Red Herring.

Gold's Gym. Aikido of San Jose. Mountain View Masters Water Polo.

Right now, my hair is bleached. In a few weeks, it may be orange.


What is your favorite sport?
Water polo. Basketball when there's no pool around.


Who is your hero and why?
I don't really have any specific heroes. I respect, admire, and model many different gurus, teachers, coaches, family members, musicians, artists, scientists, historic figures. Each have influenced my life in some way and for that I am eternally grateful.


List three (3) items you would take with you to Survivor II / Australia, if allowed and why?

What would be the craziest, wildest thing you would do for a million dollars?
I would do a bong hit wearing no clothing while sitting on a police station sign in broad daylight. Oh! I did that already...


What would you NOT do for a million dollars?
I would not injure another person unless to protect myself.
I would not compromise my fundamental beliefs.


What is your favorite topic of conversation at a dinner party? What topics are off limits?
Technology, religion and spirituality, other people's interests.
No topic is off-limits. I am not ashamed of anything and have nothing to hide. I would rather strive to understand others and pursue discourse (and argument!)


What skills do you bring to Survivor II / Australia that would make you a useful member of the group?
I'm an engineer, so I can design, experiment, and build things. I listen well, so I can know when someone has a better idea and help them acheive it.


What types of people would you choose to have with you on Survivor II /Australia?
Intelligent, diligent, accomodating, interesting, team players. Different than me, because too many Evan's would be too monotonous.


What types of people would you choose NOT to have with you on Survivor II /Australia?
Mean, cruel, close-miunded, apathetic, slefish whiners.


If you were stranded, who would you most want to be stranded with?
Alanis Morissette for company. Crocodile Dundee for survival.


What is your primary motivation for being on the show? What is your secondary motivation for being on the show?
  1. To embark on a unique, life-changing experience.
  2. To entertain the public, while simultaneously being a role model through my deeds.

If you saw Survivor I, which former contestant did you like the most? Why? Which contestant did you like the least? Why?
I liked Sean because he was generally successful on Survivor, but I especially liked his demeanor. He reminded me of me. [post submission note: Sean turned into a lame ass near the end of survivor] Although I admire Richard's survival ability and pride, he is my least favorite because of his selfishness and for leading the alliance. [post submission note: I started liking Richard towards the end]


Why do you believe that you could be the final Survivor?
I can physically and mentally handle any situation that comes my way and be successful in the challenges.
I am generally charismatic and play well with others, so my voting record should be pretty good.
